Fairly Annoying Questions

Who are you?

A Vermont human

What inspired you to create bootleg collectibles?

  • The realization that I had zero productive hobbies
  • I wanted to create something both amusing and educational while paying homage to my great state
  • During a Zoom meeting I was asked to share five fun facts about myself and I could only think of four

How do you make your collectibles?

Typically a combination of 3D printing, acrylic paints, and Michael’s swag.

Where can I get your collectibles?

A few ways:

Each one will first release with limited stock on my Etsy store. Once that stock runs out, I may make more at some point depending on the demand, but often I wont. This allows me to continue focusing on my next collectible instead of spending all of my time making the same ones. However, during the holiday season I plan on restocking my Etsy store with a bunch of peoples’ favorites.

Another way you can get a collectible is by finding a Duck Buck that I sometimes hide somewhere in Chittenden County, VT. Once I hide it, I’ll post a photo of it on social media hinting at its whereabouts. Find the duck buck, scan its QR code to reveal the free collectible you’ve just earned, and I’ll ship it to you at no cost. Think of it like a geocaching only you actually find something worth keeping.

How much do they cost?

It will depend on the collectible based on the time and materials, but I will usually list them between $20-80 on my Etsy store. On eBay it will depend on how much others bid. I’d like to charge less, but they often take more time to make than they look, and Etsy takes a cut like the corporate pigs they are.
